School Uniform

The School uniform is sold at the Cornwall Park School Uniform Shop located next to the Dental Clinic. The Shop dates and the times it is open are advertised in the School’s fortnightly newsletter and on the school's Knowledge Net site.

Shady School Policy

Rationale

It has been proved that melanoma is a skin cancer caused mainly through over exposure to sunlight. In New Zealand this problem is serious. Schools are expected to educate children in the danger of sunlight over-exposure including preventative measures such as a shady environment and correct clothing.

School Rules – Hats (No hat – No play)

During Terms 1 and 4 children must wear a hat coming to school, during physical education, sports, lunch times and intervals as well as going home from school. They must stay in the shade if possible when not participating in sport or pool activities. Students not wearing hats will be required to be in the shade for their own safety.
